HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT JOINING FIRST PRESBYTERIAN?

You are invited to attend our next Orientation. This group is for people who want more information about First Presbyterian Church DeLand and to explore the foundations upon which our mission and ministry rest as well as what is different and unique about our Presbyterian reformed heritage and beliefs.

Our one-day group begins with lunch at 12:15 pm in the west side of the fellowship hall. After lunch the group will hear presentations by different program committees and officers and take a tour of the campus. It will reconvene in the Large Conference Room and have an extended time with pastor Rader for instruction and well as questions and answers. The orientation ends no later than 4 pm.

The one-day group usually alternates with a five week group. This group meets in the Large Conference Room during the 10:00 am Sunday School hour on consecutive Sundays. It covers the same content as listed above and ends with a 12:15 lunch on the fifth Sunday.

No one is obligated by attendance to become a member. Many have attended and joined immediately but others have waited until another time. For some, this was a time that helped them discern whether First Presbyterian or another congregation is where God is calling them.
