Samuel B. Pennebacker of DeLand, Florida passed away December 12, 2010.
He was born in Allentown, PA on October 31, 1931, and lived in Emmaus, PA and Zionsville, PA
before moving to DeLand, Florida.
Sam was a high school athlete and a graduate of Penn State University in 1953.
Sam has many interests in his lifetime. Among them were traveling, Penn State football, Tiger Woods golf, latch-hooking rugs and gardening.
He was a good church man, father, and was the assistant secretary of the DeLand Kiwanis Club.
Sam is survived byCaroline, his wife, sons James and Matthew and daughter Pauline Lasota. He has four grandchildren.
He is also survived by his older brother, Abraham, who he was in partnership with, at the Pennebacker Orchards.
He will be dearly missed. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church DeLand on Wednesday, December 29th, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the choir at First Presbyterian Church, 724 N. Woodland Blvd, DeLand, FL 32720.
