Margaret colter.,99 of DeLand passed away on August 15, 2011 at Florida Hospital DeLand. She was born in Spartenburg, South Carolina on December 20, 1911. Margaret was a member for 65 years of the First Presbyterian Church in DeLand. She served as the Grand Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked with the Rainbow Girls and was a volunteer with the Florida Hospital Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Samuel Julian Colter and her children Samuel J. Colter, Jr. and Doris Colter Cosimini. Her survivors include her son Hugh Wallace "John" Colter and wife Barbara of Manchester, Kentucky; daughters Betty Denham and husband Bill of DeLand and Virginia Robertson and husband Herb of Dowling Park, Florida; son-in-law Al Cosimini of DeLand; sister Shirley King of San Diego, California; 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren.
