Arlene Phyllis Vinall Feasel born in Laconia, New Hampshire on February 9, 1921 died at the age of 90 in the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center in Orange City, Florida on February 25, 2011.

She moved with her parents, Earl and Evelyn Vinall (both deceased) to Daytona at the age of two, and then entered Stetson in 1938 where she met Richard Feasel as a freshman. They were married for 66 years prior to his death in 2008. She obtained both B.A. and M.A. degrees from Stetson and worked as a librarian and media specialist at Stetson from 1956-1968 then in DeLand public school libraries until her retirement in 1986.

Arlene was a member of P.E.O., Bible Study Fellowship, a deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Presbyterian Church of DeLand, and held other professional and service positions for many years while working and raising a family. She spent half of each year for 20 years in the home she and Dick built in the mountains of Burnsville, North Carolina. An excellent pianist, she enjoyed playing hymns and was totally devoted to attending the many musical performances at Stetson and the band shell on Daytona Beach when her husband was either performing or conducting.

As the mother of three active children, she enjoyed riding her bike and roller skating with them when she could find the time. She is survived by daughters Marlynn Feasel (Mike) of Gainesville, FL, Lorri Reddick (Gary) of The Woodlands, TX; son Craig Feasel (Danielle) of Ogden, UT; grandchildren Christie and Michael Feasel of Salt Lake City, UT, Jeff Reddick (Kari) of McKinney, TX, Jaclyn Chastain (John) of Houston, TX; great grandchildren Gracyn and Dalton Reddick of McKinney, TX; brother-in-law Bob Feasel (Millie) of Asheville, NC; and nieces Linda Marshall (John) of Greenville, SC, Connie Mehring (Sterling) of Silver Springs, MD, and Judy Jones (Ray) of Marietta, GA.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. The cremation was handled by Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home of DeLand. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Arlene and Richard Feasel endowed music scholarship fund or the library at Stetson, the First Presbyterian Church of DeLand, or the Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Orange City.
